Tutor: Kate Stokes
 

       Hi, my name is Kate Stokes and I am a Mum to two beautiful children,
       Daniel and Abigail. My passion for IT and Apple began when I trained
       as a primary school teacher and I have not looked back since then. I
       seem to find that everything I do with my career and personal life
       brings me back to doing something with IT. As a classroom teacher, I
       loved working with children to create all sorts of exciting work using
       a range of technologies - making a class newspaper, class videos,
       presentations, research projects, etc.

       For eight yeras, I worked for the local Apple reseller (now called
       Yoobee). This job involved working with schools and businesses to
       set up relevant IT in their environment. As part of the job, I also
       worked with both children and adults to teach them various IT skills.

       In the past couple of years since having my children, I have been
       working as part of R.E.A.P to deliver a variety of after school classes
       to students. These classes have included: taking effective photos,
       moving making, movie magic techniques, GarageBand, making digital
       iBooks and Claymation. I have also been doing some freelance training,
       with adults to assist tem with their Apple computers and software.

       In my family life, I enjoy every opportunity to create something
       using computers and cameras. These creations often become
       personalised Christmas and birthday presents for family and friends.
       I am looking forward to working with groups of children to develop
       their creativity and skills.
